Harmans Murder Suspect Believed To Have Died In Crash. Police said they believe the suspect in a homicide in Anne Arundel County was killed in a car accident in Prince George’s County. Prince George’s police said a car belonging to 47-year-old Diana Patten was involved in a fiery crash in Springdale at about 8 a.m. Thursday. The driver was killed in the crash.

Hurricane Earl Gains Strength, Eyes Mid-Atlantic. Hurricane Earl continued to gain strength Monday, with the the U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami saying it could become a major hurricane Monday night or early Tuesday.Forecasters say there is a chance the hurricane could brush the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region toward the end of the week.11 News meteorologist Tony Pann said Earl should be monitored closely, particularly by Marylanders with vacation plans for the Labor Day weekend.

7 Displaced After 2-Alarm Brooklyn Park FireAnne Arundel County firefighters battled a 2-alarm town home fire Sunday in Brooklyn Park.The fire broke out in the 100 block of West Meadow Road just after 11:30 a.m.Fire officials said everyone inside the home was able to escape without injury, but seven people were displaced. .Due to heavy fire conditions, crews requested a second alarm.There was ni immediate word on what sparked the fire.The Red Cross was assisting those displaced by the blaze

Gubernatorial Candidates Release Tax Forms. Gov. Martin O’Malley and his wife, Judge Catherine Curran O’Malley, reported income of about $322,000 last year, including $60,680 from O’Malley’s pension for being mayor of Baltimore and a city councilman over 16 years. O’Malley made his last three tax returns available to reporters Saturday. O’Malley made $150,315 as governor last year. His wife, who is a judge in Baltimore district court, earned $115,486.
