Ravens Build New Tradition With Fight Song. The Baltimore Ravens have a new fight song — based on a version of an old one.After polling their fans on the team website, the Ravens announced the team will use “The Baltimore Fight Song” during home games, including after touchdowns and field goals scored by the Ravens.The Ravens have been looking for a song that will keep fans on their feet after a score or a significant victory.

Gunshot Shatters Glass Door Of GOP Office. A gunshot shattered a glass door Wednesday at a Salisbury office of the Maryland Republican Party, according to a party statement.The party published the statement on its website, indicating that a single gunshot shattered the front door at the office early in the morning.Salisbury police officers discovered the shattered glass after midnight and reported that the office had been vandalized.

Ad Using Firebombing Victims Outrages Community.  A political TV ad in the primary race for Baltimore city state’s attorney is drawing condemnation from several groups who are calling for it to be immediately pulled from the airwaves.The ad for candidate Gregg Bernstein revisits a fatal 2002 firebombing in which all but one member of the Dawson family died. The ad suggests that the office of city state’s attorney Pat Jessamy failed to protect them.

Ne-Yo No-Show Costs Singer $156,000 In Anne Arundel Court.  A Maryland judge has ordered R&B singer Ne-Yo and his booking agent to pay more than $156,000 in damages over the performer’s failure to appear at a 2008 New Year’s Eve concert in Washington state. Anne Arundel County Circuit Judge Philip Caroom ordered the payment Tuesday after a four-day trial in late July and early August.
