BREAKING: Serious Accident Forest & Spa

UPDATE: The accident involved 4 vehicles, 3 cars and the tractor trailer.  Five people were hospitalized with 2 adults being sent to AAMC and three children (3,2, and 17 months) were taken to Johns Hopkins Children’s Hospital. The 3 year old was flown by Maryland State Police.  All injuries are reported to be non-life threatening.

As a result of the accident two adults were transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Annapolis police, fire and EMS are on the scene of a serious accident on Forest Drive just north of Spa Road in front of St. Martin’s Church.

According to dispatch reports, the call was received at 345pm. Three ambulances were called to the scene as well as a Maryland State Police helicopter to transport a 3 year old.  It appears that the accident involved a tractor trailer.

Forest drive is completely closed from Hilltop Lane to Spa Road. Backups extend up Forest to midway up Aris T. Allen Boulevard, on Chinquapin Round up to West Street. Forest almost down to Forest Hills.  Traffic is a mess!
