The sixth annual Backyard Carnival will be held rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, at the South County Senior Activity Center, 27 Stepneys Lane, Edgewater. 
Activities include pony rides, games with prizes, face painting, relay races, a money machine, and a prize wheel.
Refreshments will be available. This is a fun event and a great opportunity for grandparents to connect with their grand (or great grand) children!
The carnival is open to the public. It is co-sponsored by the South County Senior Activity Center of the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities and BankAnnapolis. For information, call the Center at 410-222-1927.
