Shooting In Severn, Second Shooting Tonight

UPDATE 9:50AM July 2, 2010: From the Anne Arundel County Police Department :

SHOOTING GLEN BURNIE

On July 1, 2010, at approximately 9:14 p.m., officers from Western District responded to the area of the Hair News Barber Shop located in the 7800 block of Parke West Drive in Glen Burnie for a report of a fight.

While officers were responding, further information was received that shots had been fired. The investigation revealed that the 26-year-old male victim entered the barber shop for a haircut. While inside, several suspects demanded that he come outside. He obliged and a confrontation ensued. At one point, the victim returned inside the barber shop and the suspects attempted to follow, but the owner of the business then locked the doors to prevent anyone else from entering.

A few moments later, the suspects approached the door and began screaming profanities when they realized that the business was locked. One of the subjects produced a handgun, began shooting into the business and struck the aforementioned 26-year-old victim, who suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The suspects fled the scene on Parke West Drive in what was described as a gold, four door Nissan. Numerous officers, a K-9 unit and an Aviation unit searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspects.

Suspect #1: Black male, approximately 35-40 years old, wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and black shoes (armed with a handgun)
Suspect #2-5: Black males wearing white tank tops

One person has been shot at 7800 Parke West Drive in the area of the Pizza Hut in Severn. Anne Arundel County police were searching for suspects with a helicopter with no results.

The victim was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center where his condition is unknown.

This is the second shooting in Anne Arundel County tonight. Earlier, Adam Ray Bucklew, 21, was gunned down in his truck near his home on Audrey Avenue in Brooklyn Park.
