Reminder C-60 Bus Service Ends This Week

The few people who rode the C-60 bus to BWI will have to find an alternate way to the airport. In order to balance the budget, the Annapolis Transportation Department was forced to eliminate this underutilized service. Friday, Jul 16, 2010 will be the last day for the route which serves the BWI business corridor. Stops for the route included Cromwell Station Light Rail, Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, Arundel Mills and the Anne Arundel Community College West Campus.

The city suggests there are a few alternatives to getting to BWI:

Alternative routes include the MTA #14, which stops at Church Circle and West Street in Annapolis and extends to the Patapsco Light Rail, where riders can transfer to the MTA #17 to BWI-Marshall Airport and to Arundel Mills.

The #14 and #17 run seven days a week and holidays. It operates Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to midnight; Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday and holidays from 8:14 a.m. to 8:55 p.m.

Another option for transportation from Annapolis to Arundel Mills includes catching the MTA #14 at Church Circle and West Street in Annapolis. The route makes stops at Cromwell Light Rail Station. From there, riders can transfer to the J Route, which is provided through Central Maryland Regional Transit-Connect a Ride. Hours of operations for the J Route are: Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 10:58 p.m.; Saturday from 8:40 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.; and on Sunday and holidays from 10 a.m. to 7:54 p.m.
