Here is a map from the USGS with self reported “feelings” of this morning’s earthquake.  If you felt the tremor, you can report it here. But please also leave a comment here and tell us your experience. Did you sleep through it? Are you still digging out from the rubble?

    I felt it.
I woke up at about 5 am after having a dream of being attack by a trident carrying shirtless bearded man. A few minuted later, I heard a mild rumble and some papers on my dresser vibrated slightly. I sense something about the noise was out of the ordinary –I suspected my HVAC blew up or something, it had not.
I went into my secret laboratory and immediately went to the USGS site , nothing had been reported, at 519 am I reported my experience it via a form on the aforementioned site. Still no repor anywhere on the site or elsewhere.

A couple of minutes later a red spot appeared on the USGS earthquake map–still in my laboratory, I delved deeper into the site and found data concerning the waveform characteristics and epicenter –among other data. I then fowarded what I learned to EOA so that he could—as usual–beat all the local news sources to the punch, I read about it first on the washington post and last on hometown annapolis.

Later learned that the trident is the symbol of the god Poseidon who is know as , among other things, the earthshaker.

It woke me up in Millersville (near Severna Park) – the house was shaking. I thought it was a low-flying plane approaching BWI – but I couldn’t hear the plane.

Here is an interesting table of response data. I know a lot more about this great government agency than I did last night.
