On Tuesday, August 3, 2010, Crofton will celebrate the 2010 National Night Out from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the Crofton Public Library at 1681 Reidel Road.
National Night Out is a free family event designed to:
- Heighten crime prevention awareness
- Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
- Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back
The event will have lots of great family oriented activities including police and fire demonstrations, bicycle roadeo and registration, Sheriff Bateman’s K-9 Unit, gang presentation by Anne Arundel County Police, skateboarding demos, and much more.
