Annapolis Fireworks Turns Violent

UPDATE July 5, 2010, 8:43AM: The Annapolis Police Department has clarified the incidents.

There wasn’t a stabbing at Mangia’s. Apparently, there was an altercation outside of Mangia’s and the museum which involved about 20 juveniles. Six juveniles were arrested for disorderly conduct and released to their parents.

As we are able to obtain other eyewitness accounts, we will update this post. Please check back.

We are hearing unconfirmed reports of two incidents after last night’s fireworks and are in the process of obtaining the details.

Reports from witnesses have surfaced that there was a stabbing outside of Mangia at the foot of Main Street between two youths. At the Annapolis Maritime Museum, there are reports of a large fight involving 12 or more people.
