Annapolis Police Probe Reported Sexual AssaultAnnapolis police are investigating a reported sexual assault.A woman told officers that she was thrown to the ground at about 1 a.m. Tuesday as she walked home from a friend’s home in the 900 block of Wells Avenue.Suspect information wasn’t released.Anyone with information is asked to call the Annapolis Police Department.

Star MD High School Athlete Drowns In Oregon River.  A Maryland teenager who was a star athlete but apparently did not know how to swim drowned at a popular but dangerous area of the Clackamas River in Oregon, authorities said.Walter Dines Jr., 18, died Tuesday after leaping into the river at High Rocks swimming hole, the first drowning since lifeguards were posted there in 2002. Friends said he was in Oregon to visit his dad for Father’s Day.

Missing Boater’s Body Found On Chester River.  Maryland Natural Resources Police said a missing Chestertown boater’s body was found downstream from his vacant boat. Natural Resources Police said the body of 56-year-old Stephen Leonard Cohey was found in the Chester River at about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.He was found about a quarter-mile south of where his unoccupied vessels and commercial pound nets were found the night before, police said. Cohey had been reported missing Tuesday evening after he failed to return to the Kennersly Marina.

MD Officials TO Offer Livestreams To Meetings. Maryland residents will have more ways to monitor state government, after state leaders said they will broadcast certain meetings over the Internet and waive pricey fees for up-to-the-minute updates on legislation. Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, Speaker of the House Michael Busch and Senate President Mike Miller announced plans Wednesday to change state policy to make government more transparent.
