Annapolis Police Probe Third Homicide Of 2010. Police in Annapolis are investigating the city’s third homicide of 2010.Investigators said Darius Stanley Johnson, 26, was found just after 7 a.m. Saturday outside of the Robinwood Recreation Center in the 1400 block of Tyler Avenue.He had been shot in the head, according to police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.Police said Johnson’s most recent address was in Glen Burnie but said he was a former resident of Marc’s Court in Annapolis.

Lawmakers Visit Gulf, Work To keep MD Safe.  Maryland U.S. Sens. Barbara Mikulski and Ben Cardin toured the devastation in the Gulf of Mexico this past weekend and returned to Maryland Monday to offer their thoughts on what’s going wrong with oil spill cleanup and how to move forward.Both Mikulski and Cardin lead Senate committees on scientific and environmental matters. Rep. Elijah Cummings also toured the devastated area.

Davidsonville Man In Serious Condition After Motorcycle Crash.  A 45-year-old man was listed in serious condition Monday after a weekend motorcycle crash.The crash occurred just before 10:45 p.m. Saturday in the area of Beards Point Road and Beards Creek Drive.Investigators said Robert Lee Davis Jr. was operating a 1995 Harley Davidson and crashed in the 3100 block of Beards Point Road.Anne Arundel County police said Davis was not wearing a helmet. He was taken by helicopter to Shock Trauma.Police said speed appeared to be a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.

Two Charged In Fatal Shooting Of State Trooper. Prince George’s County police have charged two men in the slaying of an off-duty Maryland state trooper.Deputy Chief Kevin Davis said Monday that Cyril Williams, 27, and Anthony A. Milton II, 28, both of Seat Pleasant, are charged with first-degree murder in the killing of 24-year-old Trooper Wesley Brown. “We believe we have arrested the shooter,” Davis said in a news conference with Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley and other officials. “We believe we’ve arrested all principal suspects.”
