What To Do With The Market House
The Offers Are In
Annapolis Mayor, Joshua Cohen, asked for public proposals on the future of the market house. Proposals could be for the use of the entire building or just a portion. The deadline has come and gone, and the City received 15 proposals.

What do you think? All of the proposals can be viewed on the City’s website and the Mayor is soliciting comments on his blog. But we’d like to know what you think here as well and we will pass the comments along to City Hall.
I read in the Capital that a tea place wants to open up. I think this is a bad idea. It is this type of ‘precious’ place that has ruined Annapolis. and Pet treats ? give me a break.
And I also read in the Capital ( you guys usually get the scoop before them so don’t be offended) that the city is entertaining offers by Mike Ashford. I would advise against him as he may be trying to fulfill his ego and not the needs of the Annapolitan. I have other reasons to advise against Ashford, but will refrain from exposing them until I can provide firm proof.
as an aside, has anyone considered how many employees are located at the USNA and is it possible that they alone could carry the MarketHouse through the non-peak season?
