Annapolis In Bloom
The 10th anniversary of the Secret Garden Tour of the Hammond-Harwood House will be celebrated the weekend of June 5 and 6, from 1 to 5 p.m. each day, rain or shine. Last year 14 gardens were on the tour, which focused on the Murray Hill section of Annapolis. This year the tour will include the historic Hammond-Harwood House gardens and the first floor and 13 other gardens. This is a fundraising event for this 1774 museum house.
Tickets—good for either Saturday, Sunday, or both days—are $25 in advance and $30 on the days of the event. They can be purchased by calling 410-263-4683 ext. 14 or by going to the Web site at www.hammondharwoodhouse.org. Tour program guides with a map, which serve as the tickets, can be picked up at the Hammond-Harwood House starting at 12:30 p.m. or at the presentations.
The Hammond Harwood House and gardens are always lovely in spring. I suggest canapes & mint juleps under the boughs at sunset.
