Police: 7 Tried To Rob Man, 72

2 Adults, 5 Juveniles Caught By Anne Arundel County Police

Seven people — five of them juveniles — are accused of attempting to rob a 72-year-old man.Anne Arundel County police said officers responded Tuesday afternoon to the 7400 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie for a report of an attempted robbery.A man told police that seven males approached him and demanded money, and he said that one of them hit him.

The culprits ran away, without obtaining any money, police said. The man suffered minor injuries.Officers and a K-9 unit searched the area around the Cromwell Light Rail station. Police said the seven culprits were caught.James Edward Atkinson Jr., and Kamonta Domnick Jones, both 20 years old and from Baltimore, were charged with attempted robbery and second-degree assault.Charges against the juveniles weren’t released. One of them is 17 years old, another is 16, and the other three are 15.
