Market House Proposals

Must See Annapolis Council Session

Tomorrow at 1:15pm, Annapolis City Council will convene a regular work session to discuss several very important topics. While this meeting is in the middle of the work day, it will be televised live on both Comcast and Verizon. It will also be available online the following day at the City’s website.  So, if you are unable to make the meeting in person, there are ways to remain informed and involved–contrary to a recent rant, admonishment, and lambasting in The Capital.

On the agenda:

  • The 15 proposals for the Market House. Each group who submitted a proposal will have 10 to 15 minutes to pitch the proposal to the City Council and field questions from the Council. Public comment will not be allowed at this time. However, it is a good chance to see behind the documents submitted.
  • City Attorney Karen Hardwick will help present the findings of the mayor’s Economic Development Work Group that she and Fred Delavan, a private Annapolis attorney, are chairing. This will present their proposal for the retooled Economic Development Department and how best use the allocated $400,000

The meeting is scheduled to start at 1:15pm and it is expected the proposal presentations will begin around 2pm.
