2 Alarm Fire In Severn

Girl, 4, Noticed Blaze

Good news being reported by our partner, WBAL-TV,

Anne Arundel County fire crews said a 4-year-old girl discovered a house fire in time for the home’s occupants to escape without injury.The fire occurred shortly before 11:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Severn Station Road.Officials said the two-alarm fire started in the rear of a single-family home. More than 60 firefighters were needed to get the blaze under control.Authorities said three people, including the girl, escaped.The fire caused about $375,000 worth of damage.The fire was ruled accidental but is still under investigation.
