Woman Challenges Account Of Police Involved Shooting.  A woman who was on the scene during a police-involved shooting has a vastly different account of the incident.As first reported by 11 News Thursday, Anne Arundel County police said an officer shot a man who had attacked a woman and twice thwarted the use of a stun gun by removing the gun’s prongs from his body.Anne Arundel County police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said the officer was on patrol Thursday night in the area of Elvaton Road and Starwood Drive when he saw a man jumping on a minivan.

Man, Toddler Hospitalized After Glen Burnie Fire.  A man and a toddler were taken to Shock Trauma after a kitchen fire in Anne Arundel County.Firefighters were called to a single-family house in the unit block of Harvard Road about 2 p.m., where a fire appears to have started in the kitchen, officials said. A cause and damage estimate remain under investigation.A 3-year-old boy and a 30-year-old man were taken to the hyperbaric chamber of Shock Trauma for treatment of smoke inhalation.

Motorcyclist Killed In Hanover CrashAnne Arundel County police are releasing more details about a crash between a motorcycle and a car Friday night that killed the motorcyclist.Police said 25-year-old Gustin Page was riding on his back wheel on Dorsey Road in Hanover.Police said that once back on two wheels, Page didn’t slow down and crashed into a car stopped at the intersection with Candlewood Road.Page was taken to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

BGE Rates To Go Down This Summer. Baltimore Gas and Electric has announced that utility bills will be going down this summer.Rate caps for utilities came off in 2006, and BGE customers saw their bills shoot up, but that’s about to change.The decrease comes as the price for the energy BGE purchases for its customers has gone down for a number of reasons, company officials said.
