Two Area Non Profits Get National Exposure

Charities Featured On Perez Hilton & National Enquirer

Anne Arundel Charities may have struck fundraising gold this week with major mentions to a national audience.

Wellness House of Annapolis

On Friday, Wellness House of Annapolis was featured on the enormously popular blog Perez Hilton. Wellness House is a program for families of people coping with cancer. It is a unique place in our community where cancer patients and their loved ones can find the support and strength they need to focus on recovery and healing. The What’s Up Annapolis? magazine contacted an Editor at Perez Hilton and attached their video about the CLIMB Program.  If you are not familiar, take a look:

Perez Hilton averages between 1.3 and 1.6 million visitors per day to his website.

Partners In Care

Partners In Care is a Pasadena based non profit whose mission is to allow seniors to remain as independent as long as possible. The organization will facilitate transportation, run errands, do minor repairs, and much more. Partners in Care is featured with a full page article on the last page of the April 5, 2010 issue of the National Enquirer. (an online version could not be found). To learn more about their program, you can visit their site or watch their video.

Who would have thought that two local organizations would be featured on such a large scale by two very unexpected publications!  To Perez Hilton and the National Enquirer–Anne Arundel County says “THANK YOU!” And to the residents of Anne Arundel County, these are two very worth causes in our home to support!
