Another Plane Crash In Edgewater

A single engine Cessna plane crashed earlier this afternoon in the South River between the Riva and Old Solomons Island Bridges.  The pilot, an unidentified 77 year old man was uninjured and was brought to shore by a good samaritan in an inflatable boat.

The Maryland State Police are leading the investigation and County Fire Department Haz Mat and Dive teams were assisting.

This is the third crash in the area of Lee Airport in the past month.
