Anne Arundel County School’s have decided to cancel school tomorrow to allow for the County and City crews to continue to work on the roads. While some neighborhoods are fine, many others are still in bad shape and safety of students must be the priority.
Nearly 25% of the county’s students walk to school and sidewalks must be clear. Additionally, groups of students waiting for school buses cannot be waiting in the road and need a cleared space to wait.
With this day, the County has used 10 days so far this year when 4 were planned. Without a waiver from the State (which is still under consideration) the school year will be extended.
