Armed Robbery Arrest

From this morning’s release from the Annapolis Police Department:

On Wednesday February17, 2010 at 1:40 AM officers at APD Headquarters spoke with a victim who said he had been robbed while walking his dogs near the unit block of Gentry Court. The victim told police that he had been approached from behind by two subjects. One of the subjects displayed a black semi-automatic handgun. The victim said the two subjects then took his keys, cell phone and various credit cards and fled in an unknown direction. The APD investigation led to a search and seizure warrant being issued for an address in the 1000 block of Spa Road. Members of the Annapolis Special Emergency Team (ASET) executed the warrant on Saturday, February 20, 2010. Inside the residence, officers found a gun that matched the description of the one used in the robbery and property belonging to the victim. Joshua Stack (DOB 10/29/93) of 1024 Spa Road Apartment B in Annapolis was arrested and charged as an adult with armed robbery, first degree assault, reckless endangerment and theft. Further investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued for Erik A. Klies (DOB 11/30/92) of no fixed address, charging him with armed robbery, first and second degree assault, use of a handgun in connection with a violent crime and theft. Klies was arrested on Monday, February 22 at 12:08 PM. He is also charged as an adult.
