A Thursday Thumping?

Major Snow Expected On Thursday

This is still developing but the National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for late Wednesday night through late Thursday night for snow accumulations greater than 5 inches.

Additionally, our friends at Foot’s Forecast are crunching the numbers and expect that this might turn into one last hurrah for the winter.

There is increasing potential for the system to rapidly intensify by Thursday night once reaching the DelMarVa coast. By Friday morning, coastal areas of the Mid-Atlantic such as New Jersey may be experiencing a surprise significant snowfall coupled with winds in excess of 30 mph.

I guess the question remains if the State, County and City will be prepared.
