Anne Arundel Police Arrest 17 In Drug Sweeps

Targeting Pasadena, Glen Burnie, and Severna Park

Last week was a busy one for the drug cops of Anne Arundel County. Eastern District officers, acting on complaints from residents, cracked down on the drug trade in Glen Burnie, Annapolis, Severna Park, and Pasadena. As a result, 14 adults and three juveniles were arrested on various CDS violations. Additionally, they seized two vehicles, $711 in cash, 32.9 grams of marijuana, 8.07 grams of crack-cocaine and a bunch of paraphernalia.

CDS ARRESTS ANNAPOLIS/SEVERNA PARK/PASADENA/GLEN BURNIE

From January 13, 2010, through January 15, 2010, officers from the Eastern District PACT Unit conducted targeted enforcement of drug violations in the Severna Park, Pasadena, Glen Burnie and Annapolis areas of Eastern District. The initiative was the result of general complaints received from citizens in various neighborhoods throughout the district. During the enforcement detail, 14 adults and three juveniles were arrested for CDS violations and one unrelated arrest warrant was also served. Furthermore, two vehicles and $711.00 in U.S. currency were seized and a total of 32.9 grams of marijuana, 8.07 grams of crack/cocaine and various items of paraphernalia were recovered. The specifics of the targeted enforcement are as follows:

• On January 12, 2010, the following suspects were arrested on Hill Road in Severna Park:

Suspect: Charles F. Whims, 54, of no fixed address was charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Suspect: Wardell J. Johnson, 55, of 102 Manns Road in Severna Park was charged with Possession of a Deadly Weapon (a knife).
Suspect: Michael D. Gutin, 51, of 7090 Troy Hill Road in Elkridge was charged with Possession of Paraphernalia and Obstructing and Hindering a Police Investigation.

• On January 13, 2010, the following suspects were arrested on Edwin Raynor Boulevard at Route 100 in Pasadena:

Suspect: A female juvenile was charged with Possession of Marijuana.
Suspect: Michael W. Shuey, 21, of 183 Dunlap Road in Pasadena was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Suspect: Cameron P. Friend, 19, of 133 Dunlap Road in Pasadena was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia.

• On January 13, 2010, the following suspects were arrested on Fort Smallwood Road at Johnson Road in Pasadena:

Suspect: A male juvenile was charged with Possession of Marijuana.

• On January 14, 2010, the following suspects were arrested on 4th Street at Ridge Road in Pasadena:

Suspect: A male juvenile was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Suspect: Ryan R. Reihl, 20, of 7727 Locust Grove Road in Glen Burnie was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia.

• On January 14, 2010, the following suspect were arrested on Broadneck Road at Bay Dale Drive in Annapolis:

Suspect: Lawrence E. Tuel, 42, of 1021 Magothy Park Lane in Annapolis was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Paraphernalia and Failure to Obey a Reasonable and Lawful Order of a Police Officer.

• On January 14, 2010, the following suspects were arrested on Bay Dale Drive at Route 50 in Annapolis:

Suspect: Christopher T. Veilleux, 22, of 505 Pride of Baltimore Drive in Annapolis was Charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Suspect: Daniel F. Joseph, 19, of 1411 Colonial Manor in Annapolis was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Suspect: Marcus G. St Ledger, 20 of 771 Macsherry Drive in Arnold was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia.

• On January 15, 2010, the following suspects were arrested on Landmark Drive at Quarterfield Road in Glen Burnie:

Suspect: Matthew A. Darpino, 19, of 440 West Court in Glen Burnie was charged with Possession of Marijuana.
Suspect: Larry W. Crystal, 56, of 1473 Gesna Drive in Hanover was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia.

• On January 15, 2010, the following suspects were arrested at 7930 Crain Highway in Glen Burnie:

Suspect: Bryan M. Bavaria, 20, of 113 Ridgely Road in Glen Burnie was charged with Possession of Marijuana.
Suspect: Alfred N. Sadaka III, 19, of 485 Glen Mar Circle in Glen Burnie was charged with Possession of Marijuana.
Suspect: Julian McCrimon, 19, of 605 Old Stage Road in Glen Burnie was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
