Anne Arundel To Vote On Slots Tonight. The Anne Arundel County Council plans to vote on a proposal to build Maryland’s largest planned slots casino near Arundel Mills mall. The zoning vote Monday is expected to determine whether the proposed casino from Baltimore-based developer Cordish Cos. will move forward.Other options include allowing slots at another location near the Laurel Park horse racing track or rejecting both proposals.

Supermarkets Pull Recalled Chicken Broth.  The Stop & Shop Supermarket Co. and Giant Food chains both removed College Inn No MSG Chicken Broth from their stores this weekend, following a nationwide voluntary recall by the product’s maker, Del Monte Foods Co. due mislabeling.  The product contains an undeclared wheat allergen and its label incorrectly states that it does not contain monosodium glutamate — or MSG — when it does in fact contain the flavor enhancer.

Baby Girl Delivered On I-97Anne Arundel fire department said two Maryland state troopers helped to deliver a baby on the side of Interstate 97.  The baby was delivered at about 7 a.m. Saturday.Anne Arundel fire officials said a 19-year-old woman was in labor and was being driven to the Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis by her parents when they pulled over after spotting police, who were on the scene of a property damage accident on southbound I-97 near Crownsville Road.

Lesbian Priest Elected To Post In LA.  The Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles has elected the second openly gay bishop in the national church and the world Anglican fellowship. The Rev. Mary Glasspool of Baltimore won election as assistant bishop in Los Angeles in voting Saturday. The first openly gay bishop, V. Gene Robinson of New Hampshire, was consecrated in 2003.
