Firecracker Found On Flight From, BWI To New York. An investigation is under way after a firecracker was found aboard a flight from Baltimore to New York City. Agents with the Transportation Safety Administration said that on Sunday, a flight crew member aboard Piedmont Flight 4126 found the firecracker on a passenger’s seat after everyone had gotten off the plane at LaGuardia International Airport.

Flare Gun Fired In PG County Emergency Room. Prince George’s County police said a Capitol Heights man fired a flare gun in the emergency room at Prince George’s Hospital Center. Police said the man and his wife apparently went to the hospital Sunday evening and began arguing with staff members.Police spokesman Officer Henry Tippett said the man pulled out a flare gun and shot it “up in the air toward the ceiling.” Tippett said no one was hurt and that the man fled.

No Bond For Suspect In Kidnapping, Death Of Girl. A man charged with kidnapping an 11-year-old Maryland girl whose body was found on Christmas Day has been ordered held without bond. Following a bond hearing Monday, 30-year-old Thomas Leggs Jr. of Salisbury was returned to the Wicomico County Detention Center.

Man Charged With Stealing, Crashing Plane. Frederick city police said a homeless man tried to leave town in a stolen plane but crashed the single-engine aircraft on a Frederick Municipal Airport runway before he ever left the ground. Calvin Cox, 51, faced a bond hearing Monday on charges of felony theft, burglary and trespass.
