$42M BRAC Road Project Moved Up.  Gov. Martin O’Malley said the state is expediting a $42.6 million road improvement project near the Aberdeen Proving Ground.  O’Malley said Friday the project at the interchange of U.S. 40 and Route 715 is being moved up by six to nine months. The project is needed to prepare for an influx of thousands of new jobs due to the military Base Realignment and Closure Program.

Dunkin’ Donuts Worker Shot In Odenton.  A Dunkin’ Donuts employee is in stable condition after someone shot him through a drive-through window.  The incident happened shortly before 3 a.m. Friday at the Odenton Dunkin’ Donuts in the 1600 block of Annapolis Road.The employee said he was at the window when a man in a dark green and blue car pulled up and demanded money.

Teen Couple Charged In Armed Robbery Spree.  A teenage couple is accused of pulling off an armed robbery spree with the help of the girl’s mother.  Martis Anderson, 19, and his 15-year-old girlfriend face several charges in connection with a three-day robbery spree spanning from Fells Point to Federal Hill.

MD Senators Note Funding For Metro In BillMaryland’s U.S. senators said the massive spending bill approved on Sunday includes hundreds of millions of dollars for local programs.  The bill includes $150 million for safety upgrades to Metro. Nine people were killed and dozens injured in a crash between Metro trains in June.Sen. Barbara Mikulski said the crash should never have happened, and she wants to prevent it from happening again.
