MD Board Approves $361M In Budget Cuts. A state panel on Wednesday approved more than $361 million in cuts and other revisions to Maryland’s general fund budget, bringing total budget revisions since the fiscal year started in July to more than $1 billion. The revisions recommended by Gov. Martin O’Malley’s administration and approved by the Board of Public Works were higher than the roughly $300 million that had been expected. They include eliminating 112 state jobs, more than half of which are currently filled, for a savings of about $5.7 million.

Inner Harbor Condo Sells For $12.6M. A developer has sold a condominium on Baltimore’s Inner Harbor for $12.6 million, which it said is one of the largest in the city’s history. The Daily Record of Baltimore reported on its Web site that Tom Clancy’s lawyer said the novelist is the buyer. Clancy is a minority owner of the Baltimore Orioles, whose stadium is about two miles from the condo.

Defense Rests Early In Dixon Trial. In another surprising twist in the theft trial against Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon, the defense called two witnesses to the stand on Wednesday and rested its case before 10 a.m.

School Police Officer Convicted On Child Porn Charges. A Baltimore schools police officer faces up to six years in prison after he was convicted of possession of child pornography. Brian Warren Eberhardt, 37, was convicted Monday in Baltimore County Circuit Court of three counts. Judge H. Patrick Stringer Jr. will sentence Eberhardt on Jan. 19.
