Maryland Attorney Plans Book On DC Sniper. A Baltimore attorney who became a confidant of D.C. sniper John Allen Muhammad is writing a book about him. J. Wyndal Gordon volunteered as standby counsel during the 2006 trial in Montgomery County in which Muhammad represented himself.

Boy Who Inspired Superhero Character Dies. A Maryland first grader whose battle with brain cancer inspired a comic book has died. Dominic Osorio died Friday at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. The 7-year-old has been hospitalized for the past two months.

Police Seek Man Who Robbed Bank Twice. Baltimore city police are searching for a man they said robbed a downtown bank twice. Authorities said the man robbed the First Mariner Bank in the 300 block of North Charles Street two times this month.

Maryland Inmates To Get Swine Flue Vaccinations. Maryland corrections officials said the state has received its first shipment of swine flu vaccine and will provide shots to some inmates and staff. The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services said 1,900 vaccinations will be administered by its health care provider, Correctional Medical Services.
