Mercy Medical Center has notified some of its patients that their records may have been improperly accessed. A hospital spokesman said Tuesday that a former employee may be responsible.The hospital released a statement Tuesday afternoon saying it’s not sure what information was accessed inappropriately versus part of the legitimate job duties.
12 Indicted In Book Theft Ring Worth $140K. Twelve people have been charged with checking out more than $140,000 in books from Maryland colleges and community libraries and selling them for quick cash. Prince George’s County prosecutors announced the indictment Tuesday. About $87,000 worth of books were taken from the Prince George’s County Public Library alone.
Man Charged After Father Found Stabbed On Road. A 24-year-old Salisbury man has been charged after his father was found stabbed on the side of the road. Wicomico County Sheriff’s deputies responded early Monday to a report of two people fighting in the road on Ocean Gateway and found the 61-year-old man lying on the shoulder, bleeding from cuts to his head and two stab wounds to the chest.
