Delay Sought In 1st Mariner Tower Foreclosure Auction. Lawyers for a Baltimore developer have asked a court to delay a foreclosure auction of the 1st Mariner Tower. In a motion filed Friday in Baltimore Circuit Court, lawyers for Edwin F. Hale Sr. asked for a delay of the auction, set for Wednesday, and a dismissal of the case. Hale’s lawyer, Michael Gallerizzo, said in the motion that Paris-based bank Natixis SA, which started foreclosure proceedings on the tower and adjoining land last month, did not give Hale enough notice and time required under 2008 legislation that lengthens the foreclosure process. Natixis had said Hale defaulted on an $84 million loan.
PG Section Of Beltway Is Deadliest, Stats Show. New statistics show that the portion of the Capital Beltway in Prince George’s County is by far the deadliest section of the roadway.Forty-two people were killed in crashes between 2006 and 2008 between the Virginia border and the interchange where Interstate 95 splits off toward Baltimore. During the same period, 18 people died on the rest of the highway.
