Limited Quantities Of Vaccine Available
The following information was just released from the Anne Arundel County Department of Health:
A limited number of appointments for the nasal spray H1N1 flu vaccine will be available Friday, October 23 starting at 8:30 a.m. County residents who are in targeted priority groups can call 410-222-4896 to schedule an appointment to receive the H1N1 nasal spray vaccine at the Department of Health’s Glen Burnie and Odenton Health Centers.
The H1N1 nasal spray vaccine is for healthy people ages 2 through 49, who are not pregnant and who do not have certain chronic medical conditions. Currently, the targeted priority groups for the live, intranasal H1N1 flu vaccine are:
- those who live with or provide care for infants less than 6 months old,
- health care and emergency medical services personnel, and
healthy people 2 to 24 years old.
