Corn Maze to Open in Two Weeks at Gambrills Dairy Farm
The Official Opening Day for the Dairy Farm Corn Maze will be Saturday, September 12th from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. In addition to conquering the maze, explore a pumpkin patch, hop on the hay ride and tour the Farm. Festivities will continue every Saturday and Sunday through October. As a special treat, the Corn Maze will be open Monday, October 12th (Columbus Day) from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
This year’s maze design entitled “Farm Partners” illustrates the partnership between Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks and tenant farmers Maryland Sunrise Farm. Visitors can wind their way through the pattern of a cow, barn, tractor and even the Department of Recreation and Parks logo! For younger children, a smaller hay bale maze is a perennial favorite.
“The Dairy Farm provides opportunities to discover our County’s agricultural heritage and experience rural living,” County Executive Leopold said. “The Corn Maze is a fun and wholesome way for families to enjoy a fall day. The activities organized by Maryland Sunrise Farm provide a healthy and educational experience for all ages.”
The Dairy Farm is located at 100 Dairy Lane in Gambrills. Admission fee to the Corn Maze is $9 for adults and youth over 12 years of age and $5 for children ages 5 to 12 years. Youth under 5 years, accompanied by their families, are admitted free.
