Tax Revolt Scheduled For Noon , April 15th At Annapolis City Dock
The Tea Party is only two days away. Make sure you join the other 468 people that are protesting the overspending and bailouts by the Federal Government. Put your RSVP into the Facebook page and we will see you at Susan G. Campbell Park on Wednesday from noon-2:00pm!
MARYLAND! This is a CALL to stand up for your freedoms!!! Our Local, State, and National governments are over spending on bailouts and footing the bill to US! The taxpayers! They are also using this economic crisis to pass legislation that is expanding government and stripping away our rights and civil liberties! WE THE PEOPLE NEED TO STAND UP AND FIGHT! This is NOT a Republican or Democratic issue. Your help is needed to show our representatives in government, both legislative and executive that what they are doing is wrong and UNAMERICAN! Please come out and show your support for the cause to end the bailouts and create sensible American solutions towards our current economic problems. Help tell our ELECTED officials that we need an end to the Hoover-style corporate welfare that is sponsored by hard working American citizens. This TAX DAY TEA PARTY will follow in the foot steps of our first citizens that saw injustice in the rule of their leaders, and were unfairly taxed by an oppressive government. Annapolis has always been a pivotal city in preserving this “Free State” and great nation’s liberty, please support Freedom and protest tyranny!!!

PARKING INFORMATION
There are many places to park in Annapolis. Probably the best is The Navy Statium park and Ride. It is only about a 1.5 walk (suggested show off your signs on the way) but they have a shuttle that will take you downtown every 15- 30 minutes. However, All of Historic Annapolis is a Park Free Zone and there are also great weekday rates at many garages. Check out the Annapolis Parking situation.

Someone posed a question to me today that made me pause:
People are so angry about the bailouts that they are doing tea parties. Wouldn’t the same people be having coronary’s if all of the banks collapsed and we were sent into the third world?
One of those “what if” scenarios that we will likely never have an answer to.
I will say this much — it seems like the bailout funds were disbursed yesterday and some companies are already reporting profits in the billions. Isn’t it a little too soon for that? Sure seems fishy to me. How do you go from the brink of collapse to profitable in a few quarters? Wouldn’t the losses just get smaller by the quarter until there is eventual profitability?
Better yet, are these profits really just AIG money, which is taxpayer money? Is Goldman posting a profit, thereby able to pay back the Treasury, because they got AIG payouts on their creative policies?
If they are, then we’ve been sucker punched out of our money for good!
Wall Street may have egg on their face right now, but there are many geniuses that occupy those few blocks. If there is a way to fleece taxpayers, Wall Street will be the ones to master it.
Jesse Barron’s last blog post..Annapolis Police Blotter for Easter Weekend
Yesterday I saw a news article about how much sales “tea party” merchandise is racking up. There are people profiting greatly from this movement.
I really wish it were some kind of non-profit endeavor, where product profits were donated to a cause. Otherwise, it sort of feels like fighting greed with greed.
But hey, if the movement works and causes something good to happen then I guess I wouldn’t care if someone makes a few bucks — it would be worth it.

Yes it does appear they are profiting, but hey I guess it is a free market economy. We linked to the products that were on the Facebook page since it appears that they are the organizers locally (or at least have put in some effort to organize it locally) and hey, as Bill Murray might say—hey, how bout a little somethin for the effort.
