Bontempo faces seizure of homes vehicles and a lengthy prison sentence
The Capital is reporting that Robert Bontempo, Jr has been charged by Federal authorities for hiring illegal immigrants and engaging in monetary transactions with property derived from unlawful activity. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in federal prison and $500,000 in fines.
However, according to legal experts, the fact that he was charged by “criminal information” and not “criminal indictment” and that he was not arrested leads them to believe that he has already agreed to a plea bargain in the case.
