2nd Annual Chesapeake Bay Charity Cruise

The Tales of Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay Charity Cruise will be on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (cruise departs at 11:15 a.m.). The Friends of the Rising Sun Inn is partnering with Cruises on the Bay™ by Watermark® to host an afternoon fun as we cruise the Bay to tales of times gone by and raise money to support the ongoing preservation projects at the Historic Rising Sun Inn located on the famed Washington Rochambeau Revolutionary Route, Generals Highway, in Crownsville. Hear our tour guide share tales of smuggling, rum running, piracy, and the legend of Chessie, the Chesapeake Bay Sea Monster. Learn about Kent Island and its original Native American inhabitants. Sit back and enjoy the sites along the waters of the Bay including the scenic Severn River, the Bay Bridge, icons of Annapolis, and historic lighthouses.

Tickets for this Benefit Cruise are $57.00 for adults and $28.00 for children (ages 3 – 11). Box lunches (turkey/cheese or ham/cheese) are also available for $10.00 and must be purchased in advance. All proceeds raised will support the much needed repairs and the ongoing preservation and restoration of the Inn to include painting the Inn, a new carriage house roof, and lathe/plaster repair.
