Owing to the power of the Internet and the widespread publicity, Thomas Virts was captured a day after his photo was published!
On March 18, 2010, at approximately 3:30 p.m., detectives took Thomas Virts into custody without incident on the parking lot of Belle Grove Elementary in Brooklyn Park.
