Neverwhere continues its run at AACC

Theatre at AACC is presenting “Neverwhere” the first two weekends in November in the Robert E. Kauffman Theater in the Pascal Center for Performing Arts at Anne Arundel Community College, 101 College Parkway in Arnold.

Directed by adjunct performing arts faculty member AnnMarie Saunders, Ph.D., the production was adapted for stage by Robert Kauzlaric from the Neil Gaiman cult-classic novel “Neverwhere.” Sean Urbanke, assistant professor of Performing Arts, oversaw backstage design and technical aspects of the production.

“Neverwhere” tells the story of how a single act of kindness plunges a completely average account manager, Richard Mayhew, deep beneath the streets of London into an unimaginably dangerous world of magic, monsters, murderers and angels. It’s also where the young businessman discovers a destiny both strange and eerily familiar.

Remaining curtain times are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov.  10 and 11, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov.  12.

Admission is $20 general admission; $15 AACC faculty, staff, seniors, groups, outside students and children under 10; $10 AACC students with advanced purchase (prior to Nov. 3) and valid student ID.  For tickets, contact the AACC Box Office, 410-777-2457 or [email protected].
