Rocking for Restoration scheduled for November 16th

jug_bay_canoesJoin Anne Arundel Watershed Stewards Academy for an evening of live music, fun and food at their Rocking for Restoration event on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Union Jack’s Annapolis.
Rocking for Restoration will benefit a number of Watershed Stewards Academy’s initiatives, including restoration projects across Anne Arundel County, such as Clean Water Communities, a program targeting community wide action towards clean water.
Local band The Wayside, featuring Master Watershed Steward Rusty Gowland, will perform a combination of classic and “danceable” rock. Tickets include appetizers and drink specials in the private bar. 50/50 raffle tickets can be purchased at the event.
General admission tickets are $25. Discounted tickets for parties of 10 are available for $200. Children 12 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online at www.aawsa.org.
Watershed Stewards Academy develops citizen leaders to foster community change for clean waters. They build capacity in Anne Arundel County by training Master Watershed Stewards to help neighbors reduce pollution in our local creeks and rivers. Our hands on certification course gives Stewards the tools to implement change in their communities, turning knowledge into action.
