33 Variations is the moving story of a musicologist, Katherine, who is diagnosed with ALS. As we watch her face the effects of the debilitating disease, but determined to finish her life’s work, she delves into the mystery surrounding Ludwig van Beethoven’s ’33 Variations on a Waltz by Diabelli.’ As the present collides with 18th century Vienna, we are transported between Katherine’s world and Beethoven’s, as they both face the horrors of coping with an incurable disease. This compelling and engrossing drama holds moments of passion, laughter, tears, and mystery.

Join us for a night of great theater and help make a difference. What if your dollar was THE dollar that led to the breakthrough in identifying the cause and cure for ALS?

33 Variations runs from October 20 through November 12, 2017. Performances are held Thursday through Sunday at our theater in historic downtown Annapolis, MD. Tickets for 33 Variations are $23 for Adults, and $18 for Seniors, Students, and Military. Tickets can be purchased online at tickets.thecolonialplayers.org, or by calling the Box Office at 410-268-7373, option 2.
