The Ravens return to Annapolis (Photos)

At the end of most football games played at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, you hear a rendition of Blue and Gold–the USNA alma mater.  But on Saturday, the stadium was neither filled with blue or gold–it was pure purple!

The Baltimore Ravens held a free pre-season practice session for a few thousand local residents decked out in their purple finery. The Ravens brought a family fun zone, Rise and Conquer (mascots), Poe, cheerleaders, and of course the 2017 squad.

After a three year hiatus, this is the fourth time that the Baltimore Ravens have held practice here in Annapolis and owner Steve Bisciotti, a local resident, has said that the team belongs here and has informally committed to doing it every year when scheduling allows!

And judging from the reaction of the crowd, we welcome them with open arms!
