The Anne Arundel County Watershed Stewards Academy announces the 2017-2018 Master Watershed Steward Certification Course

The Anne Arundel County Watershed Stewards Academy (WSA) trains and supports citizens to take action with their neighbors to reduce polluted runoff and restore local waterways. Prospective Stewards need not have prior knowledge; WSA’s hands on certification course provides training to identify and solve environmental problems and creates a local network of energized leaders and restoration professionals.
The Certification Course is held annually from October through April at the Arlington Echo Outdoor Education Center (975 Indian Landing Road, Millersville, MD 21108). Since 2009, WSA has certified over 180 Master Watershed Stewards from Brooklyn Park to Herring Bay! This year, our 10th certification course has been re-designed to include both web-based and in-person sessions that will focus on interactive, hands-on learning.  A complete course schedule and additional information may be found at aawsa.org.
Watershed Stewards may choose to serve within their neighborhood, office, school or house of worship. Specialized training is available for those who want to work with their local school.
Attendance at any of our free Informational Orientations is required prior to submitting an application. Please register:  www.aawsa.org.
