Junior League partners with County to establish Community of Hope

Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. (JLA) is partnering with the Anne Arundel County Partnership for Children, Youth and Families to establish a Community of Hope in the Brooklyn Park community of Anne Arundel County, an area which has the highest need and least resources in the county. The objectives are to help develop and establish, together with community members, programs and initiatives that will promote healthy and successful children and families.

“Junior League of Annapolis is thrilled to contribute to this exciting partnership.  We are excited to work with the residents of Brooklyn Park to help build a better community for everyone in Anne Arundel County,” said Morgan Van Arsdall, Community Impact Vice President 2016-2017.

Every three years, the Community Outreach and Project Research (COPR) Committee leads the effort in the league selecting to partner with a local community project that aligns with JLA’s mission. “JLA commits to making strong, positive community change.  We are proud to join the grassroots efforts of the Community of Hope,” said Katie McCone, President 2016-2017.

Building and maintaining relationships with other non-profit organizations unites us all with a single purpose for improving our community. “I am very excited about this signature partnership with JLA. Our Community of Hope in Brooklyn Park will be reinforced and strengthened by the skills, labor and enthusiasm of this dynamic group,” said Pamela M. Brown, Ph.D., Executive Director of Anne Arundel County Partnership for Children, Youth and Families.
