Reading grabbed the lead in the top of the 10th as an error charged to Baysox 1B Aderlin Rodriguez and a single put two men on before Chace Numata delivered a go-ahead two-out RBI single and Malquin Canelo laid down a bunt for an RBI single before Zach Coppola and Jiandido Tromp came through with RBI singles of their own to make it a 12-8 game. Kyle Martin’s two-run shot in the top of the first off of Baysox starter Yefry Ramirez opened up an early 2-0 lead for Reading.

Jiandido Tromp’s two-run blast in the third made it a 5-0 game in favor of the visitors.

Ramirez (n/d) allowed five runs on four hits to go along with a walk and a strikeout in two plus innings of work.

The Baysox cut the lead to 5-1 with a run in the fourth as Mullins led off with a single, advanced to third on a single and scored when Hays grounded into a 5-4-3 double play.

The Fightin Phils answered back with a pair in the sixth to take a 7-1 lead as Martin hit a solo shot and Numata came through with an RBI single. Both runs were charged to RHP Jordan Kipper (4.0 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 2 ER, BB).

Reading starter Cole Irvin (n/d) gave up the two runs on five hits while walking one and fanning three in 7.0 IP.

Stewart’s solo shot in the bottom of the 10th brought the Baysox within 12-9. The home run was Stewart’s 19th of the season and marked the first multi-homer game of his career.
