5-year old safe after abduction at Glen Burnie Royal Farms

On August 14, 2017, at 5:21 p.m., Northern District officers responded to the Royal Farms Store, located at 200 Oak Manor Rd, Glen Burnie, for an abduction call.

A female caller told responding officers that a man had taken her vehicle, with her five year old child in the back seat. Further, she said that she got out of her vehicle to talk to a friend when the suspect who had previously asked her for money outside the store, jumped into her vehicle and speed away.

Responding officers along with air units were called in to conduct an area search with negative results.

Immediate coordination was made with surrounding jurisdictions and an amber alert was being prepared, when the child was recovered in Baltimore City. A citizen made contact with the child on a neighborhood sidewalk and took him to the Western District Police Station. The child was unharmed from the incident and was reunited with his mother.

The vehicle was later recovered in the area of 1500 North Fulton Ave., in Baltimore City and processed by evidence technicians. Northern District Detectives responded and took charge of the investigation.

Suspect: black male, approximately six feet tall, skinny build, wearing a black and white baseball cap, a black shirt with the writing “Island Quizine” on the back, black and white Adidas style pants, and black and white shoes.
