Annapolis to weigh 4 proposals for the Market House

Annapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides announces all responses to RFP 17-21, the Lease of the Annapolis Market House at City Dock, can be reviewed online here.

Sixteen requests for bid packages were received by the city, but only the four listed below submitted technical proposals:

  • Carolyn & David Marquis
  • Giolitti Delicatessen
  • New Market, LLC
  • The Annapolis Oyster Company

On April 24th, City Council passed O-16-17, to establish a public process for selecting a Market House tenant. The purpose of the bid process is to find a tenant who will operate the facility under Section 7.28.020 of the Annapolis City Code either as the sole tenant or in conjunction with sub-tenants selected by that tenant.

A public hearing on the bids will be held at the Monday, July 10th City Council meeting. A City Council work session on the proposals has been tentatively scheduled for Thursday, July 20th. The Council is expected to select the winning proposal at the July 31st City Council meeting.
