Severna Park High students partner with Walk the Walk Foundation

December 18th is the last day to help out with the Walk of Christmas. Severna Park students, led by Tiffeny Ayoola and Daniel Brack (Leadership III) volunteer their time to help out the Walk the Walk Foundation.

The Severna Park Leadership Institute is well known in Severna Park for the various service projects led by the students. Each year, the students in Leadership III are asked to partner with an organization to do something good for our community and help with something they are passionate about. This course creates emerging leaders and helps the students enhance their leadership skills by being a leader to a group of students. Partnering with this relatively new organization, Walk the Walk, is what the group Smiles for Christmas chose to do due to the fact they wanted to assist with their Walk of Christmas.

The mission of the Walk the Walk Foundation is to make a difference in the lives of people and communities in need through our Walk of Christmas, Back to School, and diaper programs. “We were all made for a purpose! Our faith has seen us through many trials, and we believe that these experiences have prepared us for this task, reaching out and helping kids in need.” said by Kimberly Mitchell, the founder of wtwf.

Tiffeny Ayoola and Daniel Brack, along with their group of Leadership I students assisted with the Walk the Walk gift distribution at their warehouse. They played with the children, conversed with the families, and helped load gifts into cars. Their determination and dedication made the distribution a success.
