“At Home with the Harwood’s: An 1835 Christmas” Holiday Tours
December 2 through 31 Tuesday to Sunday tours on the hour 12pm to 4pm. Last tour at 4pm.
Tours will be given on the regular hours of the museum with museum admission.
This special tour takes visitors back to the early 19th century when the Harwoods lived in the home. The tour will highlight Christmas customs and how each was observed during the holiday season. Each tour includes our Hammond-Harwood House spiced cider found in the Maryland’s Way cookbook. No reservations required.
Hammond’s Square Gift Shop is fully stocked for Christmas shopping and open late during Midnight Madness December 1 until 9pm.
Mrs. Loockerman’s Kitchen: An Early American Christmas

This presentation examines a variety of European Christmas culinary traditions we celebrate in America today. Participants will sample traditional sugarplums and Twelfth Night cake, enjoy wassail, and decorate a Speculaas gingerbread cookie.
