Glen Burnie man charged with killing his 80-year old mother over weekend

MurderOn November 12, 2016 at approximately 1:28 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Sandsbury Avenue in Glen Burnie, Maryland for a homicide. The caller, who was an out of state relative, said they received a call from Roy Robinson stating that he had killed his mother. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult female victim identified as Elizabeth Robinson deceased from apparent sharp force trauma to her upper body.

Officers also located within the residence an adult male relative (son) of the victim, Roy Robinson, who stated that he had killed his mother. Roy Robinson had minor wounds to his upper body that appeared to be self-inflicted. He was transported to an area hospital and is currently listed in stable condition. Homicide detectives responded and assumed the investigation. The suspect, who remains at the hospital, is being charged with the 1st degree murder of Elizabeth Robinson.
