Navy defeats Tulsa 42-40, takes top spot in AAC West

| November 13, 2016

Navy quarterback Will Worth ran for 122 yards and scored three touchdowns and the Midshipmen took control of the American Athletic Conference’s West Division with a 42-40 victory over Tulsa on Saturday in Annapolis.

Navy (7-2) is now looking to earn a spot, and possibly host, the AAC championship game on Dec. 3 which looks to be played either in Philadelphia or in Annapolis at the US Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

The festivities started off with a modified march-on by the Brigade of Midshipmen who were let by Superintendent VADM Walter “Ted” Carter and Commandant of Midshipmen Col. Stephen E. Liszewski. The Brigade left Gate 1 and proceeded up Main Street and throughout the Downtown Annapolis area to pay homage to the Veterans who have served before them. The march culminated at the stadium where Navy defeated Tulsa.
