Local By Design to give back to Fish for a Cure!

| October 16, 2016

lbd_f4ac_fb2_adLocal by Design is a new art boutique at the foot of Main Street in Annapolis opened last May by two women, Suzi Jett and Susan Sears. Over 60 local artist/small businesses were invited to occupy retail space there at an affordable price.  Each month, LBD hosts “GIVING DAYS,” where a percentage of sales are given to a local cause. The artists also donate artwork and items to be raffled off, adding to the donation total.

On Oct 20th, Local By Design is hosting a GIVING DAY for Fish For A CureThis came about as one of LBD’s artists, Joe Barsin of Citizen Pride, works with F4AC (developed their logo and offers pro-bono work to help promote them.) Suzi and Susan thought it was a perfect merger as F4AC is celebrating a big year – the 10th Annual Charitable Fundraising Tournament and Shore Party at the East Post Yacht Club on Nov 5th, and Suzi Jett (co-owner of LBD) is fighting Cancer – and winning!

So on Thursday, October 20th, 10% of all sales for the entire day goes to F4AC. In addition, there will be an event at LBD that same evening (5:30-8:30) which will offer giveaways and raffles from the artists.

See you on Thursday!
